Week 8: Update from Kerry-Stuck, but soaking it in!

We’re currently in County Kerry, hanging out in Killarney while we wait for parts for the truck. Not ideal, but honestly, we couldn’t have broken down in a more beautiful spot.

We’ve been making the most of the extra time here-visited Muckross House, which was full of history and charm, and the gardens were incredible. Everything’s in bloom right now, and it’s just a beautiful place to wander.

We’ve also done a few walks through Killarney National Park-really breathtaking. Peaceful trails, lakes, waterfalls, forests, and even a few deer sightings. It’s been the perfect way to stretch the legs and clear the head while we wait.

We also discovered the Gap of Dunloe in our rental car which was the narrowest road we have come across, barely wide enough for a bike-let alone a car. It was equal parts thrilling, hilarious and slightly terrifying, worth every white-knuckled moment with the incredible views.

Not quite the week we planned, but hard to complain with views like this! Fingers crossed we’re back on the road soon.
